Yajā Hatha-Rāja Yoga
300 Hour Advanced Classical Yoga Teacher Training
Starts January 3, 2025
Having completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training, you know that yoga is more than just the postures. This Advanced Classical Yoga Teacher Training will expand your understanding of yoga to an even greater extent.
“The yogic journey guides us from our periphery, the body, to the center of our being, the soul. The aim is to integrate the various layers so that the inner divinity shines out as through clear glass.” — B.K.S. Iyengar
The goal of yoga sadhana is Self-realization, not being able to do a handstand or put your foot behind your head. While we will study and learn how to do and modify advanced postures, inversions and arm balances, we will also study advanced pranayama techniques, kriyas, and other yogic tools to cleanse the nadis and prepare for deeper levels of practice.
In this training you will learn:
Anatomy: Common injuries your students may have and how to address them.
Bhakti Yoga: How to move from your practice from your head to your heart.
Yogic Diet: Ahimsa, the first law of yoga includes compassion for all creatures, the earth, and your body. A yogic diet effects your practice in profound ways.
Sanskrit: Learn the foundations of Sanskrit, the Sanskrit alphabet, and how to properly pronounce the names of postures and commonly used terms.
Hands-On Adjustments: How to do them, and when it’s appropriate to use them.
Yoga Philosophy: In addition to learning how to incorporate the Eight Limbs and the kleshas to daily life, we will do an in-depth study on the Bhagavad Gita, an essential yogic text.
Meditation: Learn techniques to deepen your meditation practice.
Pranayama: You will learn and practice advanced pranayama techniques, and experience expanded awareness.
Asana: You will fine-tune your personal practice, perfecting alignment, modifying when necessary to experience the benefits of a slow, mindful, breath-based classical practice.
Advanced Teaching Methods: Learn advanced postures, modifications and variations, improve communication and cuing, and intelligent sequencing. Learn advanced sequences to build strength and flexibility for students wishing to do so, teaching the consciousness of each pose. Learn classical yoga sequencing for beginners and intermediate levels as well.
Yoga Nidra: This is a powerful practice to go deeply into the consciousness by disciplining the mind through suggestion and concentration. You will learn how to teach true Yoga Nidra, beyond reading from a script.
Psychic Development: This is a powerful practice for manifestation as taught by Sri Dharma Mittra.
Yogic Lifestyle: By establishing habits you will learn in this training, you will progress towards higher levels of perception, increasing intuition. You will gain a mastery of the tools of Raja Yoga which will enable you to solve life’s problems and live a truly spiritual life, free from the constraints of the body and the mind.
This will be a life-changing experience.
“Yoga presents a scientific way and methodical effort to attain perfection through the control of the elements of the physical, metaphysical, and psychical natures.” — Shri Brahmananda Sarasvati
